Fisheries Biologist (Tenure-track, Assistant Professor):The Department of Biology at Central Michigan University seeks an exemplary researcher/teacher to fill a tenure-track position at the ASSISTANT PROFESSOR level in FISHERIES BIOLOGY to begin July 2008. Appointment is normally at the Assistant Professor level, although a more senior appointment is possible for candidates with a strong record of external funding. Candidates must have (1) an earned doctorate with training in the biological sciences or a related area and (2) the potential to establish and maintain a vigorous research program that attracts extramural funding. Candidates must (3) have strong potential for outstanding teaching, (4) mentor graduate and undergraduate students, (4) possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, and (5) present a positive attitude of collaboration. Post-doctoral experience preferred. |
